I have had both a v1 and v2 of the Diva Server 4BRI-8M. The v1 wouldn't do NT
mode, which I wanted; it also doesn't have as much memory so some other features
are disabled. This is probably why the v1 cards are going cheap. I wouldn't
build a new box today with a v1 card.
I'm in North America, so NT mode wouldn't work after all; nothing, not even the
expensive Diva card, does switch emulation for 5ESS or NI1. I'm currently
working with Dialogic to get even TE mode to work correctly so chan-capi can see
two calls come in on a single BRI. Right now, in 8.3, it thinks it's coming in
the D channel, ISDN1#0 (which of course it can't be), and 8.5 fails to accept
any calls at all and chan-capi never even gets wind of them. (Marco's being
very responsive and helpful, but at this writing it's still broken.) But
outside North America, things work better.
